- 1 medium onions, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 4 large garlic cloves
- 1 t. oregano
- 4 large sweet fresh basil leaves
- 1 large cans tomato puree
- 2 large cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 medium can tomato sauce
- 1 small can tomato paste, roasted garlic
- ½ cup water
- 1 jar of White Linen Mariana Sauce
DIRECTIONS
- Pour a little olive oil in a skillet and brown onions, and garlic until softened. Simmer on low heat and add oregano, sweet basil, and a dash of salt and pepper.
- Combine onions, carrots and garlic in a blender with tomato puree, tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste and add at least ½ cup of water. Blend thoroughly.
- Transfer to a large pot and heat to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1-2 hours. Add meatballs.
