- 3 cups uncooked short grain rice
- 3½ cups water
- ½ cup rice vinegar
- 2 T. sugar
- 2 t. salt
DIRECTIONS
- Mix rice vinegar with sugar and salt in and microwave for 1 minute. Careful - Don't over heat.
- Wash the rice thoroughly, drain the rice in a colander and set aside for about 30 minutes.
- Put it in a large pot, along with water.
- Stir the rice until the water is boiling. When boiling, stop stirring, cover the pot, and lower the heat.
- Cook about 20 minutes, or until the water is almost gone.
- Pour the vinegar mixture on the rice and mix well.
- Let the rice cool down (never in the fridge). Once it gets about room temperature you can start rolling.
