- 1 lb. unsalted butter
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ⅓ cup orange juice
- ½ cup chopped almonds (optional)
- 6 cups sifted flour
DIRECTIONS
- Cream butter with beater until fluffy white. Add powdered sugar and mix. Add egg yolk and orange juice. Continue to beat.
- Add flour, a cup at a time, and then knead. Add nuts (optional).
- Shape into crescents and bake at 350°F for about 10 to 12 minutes. Watch, not to over cook.
